Guest house in Pléneuf Val André
An exceptional architectural environment Castle du Cloître stands out for its timeless charm. Built in the 1850s on the remains of an ancient castle linked to the seigneury of Guémadeuc, this site evokes the memory of a past monastic presence. At the entrance to the park, you'll find former stables dating from the late 18th century, bearing witness to its historic heritage. The site was once an arboricultural school, which explains the rare species that have been planted.
Through the 20th century
Owned by the family since 1937, Sibylle's grandparents grew chrysanthemums and market gardening in the park garden. Although the 1987 storm caused considerable damage, destroying almost 50 % of the trees, some of which were over a hundred years old, the family managed to restore the beauty of the estate. From 2000 onwards, Sibylle's parents undertook replanting work to restore the park to its former splendour.
Sibylle and François-Xavier, representing the third generation of the family, moved in in 2024 to transform it into a welcoming guest house, with 5 comfortable guest rooms and 2 gîtes (in progress), perfect for a memorable stay.
With 25 years' professional experience working with businesses, particularly in the agricultural sector, Sibylle, who is passionate about cooking and creative, makes it a point of honour to offer an unforgettable experience to her visitors. She invites you to discover this historic home and savour its delicacies and regional products.
